About
Welcome to The Forge of Vulkan.
This is the public workshop of a creative engineer. I am building websites and applications carefully crafted to help digital artists in the age of corporate Slop.
My name is Vulkan. I am a developer-architect with a decade of experience building systems on the web who loves tech, gts, and above all, creating art. After having enough of corporate slop, I decided to apply all my knowledge and experience as a decade-old Full-Stack Web engineer to help passionate digital artist to own their platforms and protect their work.
I'm here for one reason, and one reason only:
To build the infrastructure—the systems, tools, and hub of content—that allows digital artists to thrive. I talk about the changes in tools and industries. In the forge, I offer workshops, courses, and more educational material to help you in your journey to become a digital artist free of corporate slop.
My Forge Plan
The traditional advice is: "Watch a ton of tutorials and post every day on social media."
But what if your business requires posting multiple times on different social media platforms, then you don't have a real business. What if you need a few followers/subscribers, not thousands or millions? However, corporations have lied for years to make you believe the opposite. All to become a adictive account who chase virality and owns nothing, not even its audience.
You face a choice:
- Outsource your reach and hope platforms help your content to get noticed.
- Fragment your energy by trusting software that you don't own and that actively works against you to make you work for its interests.
- Own your tools and platforms that respect you and actively try to help you.
Smart artists choose Option 3. This is why I'm building an ecosystem of tools designed specifically to cover your needs. The Forge is where I engineer the bridge between technical and creative skills to create a future where we are once again the masters of our own destinies.
My Philosophy: Build in Public, Join a community, and keep learning.
I believe artists should be more respected and appreciated. That we should go back to a time when we weren't so dependent on some out-of-touch with reality billioners telling us what and how to live our lives.
My unique position is this: I bring a decade of full-stack development experience to offer alternatives to beginners and experienced digital artists alike.
My current build stack includes:
- Craft: Sharing my experience and knowledge in learning digital illustration and 3D Art.
- Technology: Building solid alternatives for digital artists. This is my core value: developing web apps, scripts, and workflows that solve real creative business problems.
- Business: Deconstructing marketing, sales, and audience-building into testable systems to help you get seen and grow your art business.
The 80/20 Rule: 80% of my focus is on building, learning, and documenting the engineering of a creative life. 20% is on packaging those systems for others. You're getting features you never wanted; you're getting battle-tested systems that give back the power to the artist.
✍️ My Journey: From Developer to Creative-Architect
I began as a full-stack developer, building systems for others. My own creative projects remained on endless, fractioned platforms. I had the technical skill, but I too believed for years the lies of social media.
The shift happened when I realized how bad things were becoming, in part thanks to AI. I decided to apply my decade's worth of technical experience to solve this problem. To build an ecosystem of tools, without stakeholders or AI, focusing on powering artists.
In The Forge, I post:
- The Art Journey: The stories and raw knowledge about how to become a better artist.
- The Technical: The unsexy details of integrating a payment API for digital art sales, or why a particular marketing tool failed.
- The Business Systems: The frameworks I create to grow my digital business as a digital artist.
The Forge is my commitment to this engineering approach.
What You'll Find Here: A Builder's Site
The Forge is not just an art gallery or a generic hub of educational material. It's an active engineering and creative hub.
You'll get:
- The System Design Logs: How I structure my weeks, manage projects across different mediums, and automate repetitive tasks.
- The Tool Builds: Live documentation of the web apps, scripts, and workflows I create to solve my own (and your) creative business problems.
- The Technical Deep Dives: "How to build a lightning-fast portfolio for artists," "Automating your marketing strategy," "A developer's approach to learning Art."
- The Business Experiment Data: Transparent metrics from my attempts at product launches, audience growth, and service offers.
- Transparent Systems: The actual code, templates, and frameworks of the tools you use.
Who This Is For (And Who It's Not)
The Forge is for:
- The entrepreneur artist who sees their art as a business that needs reliable systems to grow.
- The developer or technical professional yearning to build their own creative worlds and needing a framework to start.
- The multidisciplinary business owner who needs systems to manage the art, source code, and marketing without chaos.
- The sovereign creative who wants to own their tools, protect their work, and build a sustainable business.
The Forge is NOT for:
- Those seeking only get-rich-quick methods or generic, superficial tutorials.
- People who want vague inspiration without executable systems or technical detail.
- Anyone who believes creativity is purely mystical and resists a systematic, builder's approach.
- Passive spectators who want magic bullets instead of learning to build their own systems.
The Invitation: Join the Build
This is an invitation for those who want to own their tools and platforms. Those who want their art to be protected, seen, and to make a living from their art.
You're not buying a close systems. You're getting access to the source code. You're funding the development of reliable systems, tools, and frameworks that you can use to assist you in your art journey.
It's a path of logical iteration, applied curiosity, and engineered solutions. It's the most honest way I know to build something lasting without any big corporations getting in the way.
Welcome to The Forge. Let's build a better future together for you, for me, and for all artists.
